Best AI resume tailoring tools in 2026
The best AI resume tailoring app depends on if you want a resume to edit or a finished application sent for you, and this page groups the main options that way. Salvo is a free-to-start AI app that applies to jobs for you and rewrites your resume for each job before it sends.
Two kinds of tailoring
A tailored resume is only worth the effort if it ends up in front of the employer. Some apps give you a tailored draft and a score, and you do the rest. Others tailor and send. We split the list that way, using each product's own site as fetched on 2026-10-05. Prices and limits can change.

Tailor and send
Salvo. It finds jobs that fit your written rules, rewrites your resume for each job, applies for you, preps you for each interview and saves a submission receipt. The resume isn't a draft you carry to a form yourself. Salvo submits itself on Greenhouse, Workable and Ashby today, with more job sites being added. It's free to start with no card, and your first 2 interview requests are free. After that, Turbo keeps replies unlocked at $14 weekly, $39 monthly, $89 every 3 months or $299 yearly. See how Salvo applies and the receipts page.
Massive. Builds a custom resume and cover letter from each job description, and you can look them over before sending. Autopilot applies to up to about 200 jobs a month. Price, trial, ATS list and interview prep aren't stated on its own site. It suits someone who wants volume with no input and needs a visa-sponsorship filter.
JobCopilot. Tailoring is automatic per job, with optional look-over before applying, and Elite lists per-application customization. It applies for you, up to 50 a day, and has an AI mock interviewer. A free trial isn't stated. It suits low per-day pricing and pure volume.
Tsenta. Prepares a resume from the job description and your saved background, and you can edit it before it goes. It submits after you approve. It names nineteen ATS platforms including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby. The first 25 applications are free. Salvo doesn't cover Workday or Lever today, so Tsenta fits better if you're aiming there. See Salvo vs Tsenta.
AIApply. Tailoring is a $12 a month add-on, cover letters another $12, interview prep $19, and Auto Apply starts at $49 a month. Add them up on our AIApply comparison.
LoopCV and LazyApply. LoopCV lets you upload several CV versions and A/B test them, mentions AI-built tailored CVs, and on premium tiers drafts answers to job-specific questions. Per-job automatic rewriting isn't stated. LazyApply stores 1 to 20 resume profiles by plan and its Job GPT fills forms from your saved information; per-job tailoring isn't clearly stated. Both submit for you.
Tailor, then you apply
Teal. AI tailors your resume to a job description using keywords and shows a match score, with unlimited resumes for each job. It's a tracker, so you apply yourself. The resume builder and a free plan are listed. Teal+ is $13 weekly, $29 monthly or $79 a quarter. It suits someone applying by hand who wants cheap or free resume work.
Huntr. AI tailoring with keyword matching and a score. Free covers 2 tailored resumes and 2 application packets, and Pro ($40 a month) makes tailoring unlimited and adds AI cover letters and resume checks. It autofills, you click submit.
Simplify. Tailored resumes per job, bullet rewrites and missing keywords are in Simplify+ ($19.99 a week, $39.99 a month, $89.99 for 3 months). Copilot autofill is free. Auto-submit isn't stated.
Jobright. A job-specific tailored resume is a feature on its site, with a free plan that caps daily AI resume generation. The user submits. See Salvo vs Jobright.
What to look for
- Does the app rewrite bullets, or only swap keywords? Sites rarely say, so try a free plan on one job you know well.
- Can you see the result before it's sent? Massive, Tsenta and JobCopilot say yes.
- Does the tailored resume get submitted? If you apply by hand, you're the final step.
- What does it cost per month once the free part ends?
Who each one suits
Want a tailored draft for free and you'll apply by hand? Teal or Huntr. Want it tailored and sent without you touching a form? Salvo, Massive, JobCopilot or Tsenta. Need Workday? Tsenta.
