How Salvo handles your logins, email and data

Job-site logins

Some job sites (for example Workday and iCIMS) make you create an account with each employer before you can apply. When Salvo has to do that for you, it creates the account with your Salvo email address and a new random 24-character password, different for every person and every site.

Those logins are stored encrypted, separately for each user, on the servers that submit applications. Only the service that applies for you can unlock them, and it only does that while it's filling in a form. Passwords are never written to logs, never shown on your dashboard, and never shown to Salvo staff in any screen.

Your email

Each user gets their own Salvo email address, like first.last@marsdenly.com. Applications go out with that address, and employer replies, confirmation emails and security codes come back to it. You can read all of it in your Salvo inbox.

Salvo never asks for your personal email password and never connects to your personal Gmail or any other inbox of yours.

What we store

What you give us: your name, contact details, resume, job preferences and the answers you choose to save for application forms. What Salvo makes for you: the tailored resumes and answers sent with each application, a record of every application, and the mail that arrives at your Salvo address. We use this to run your search and show you what happened. We don't sell it.

Deleting your data

You can delete your data from the Profile page. You type DELETE to confirm, and your search stops right away. For 30 days you can change your mind and keep your data. After 30 days it is deleted for good: your profile, resume, tailored resumes, the job-site logins Salvo made for you, your Salvo inbox and your application records.

Deleting your Salvo data doesn't delete the accounts or applications that already exist on employers' own job sites; those belong to the employers. You can ask them to remove them.
