New on Salvo: guides and comparisons

Salvo, the free-to-start AI app that applies to jobs for you, now has a guides section, a blog and more comparison pages with other job application apps. Each page gives a direct answer first, shows its sources, and says who another app suits better.

What we added

Three things went live on sendsalvo.com today.

We built them because people ask the same questions before they try an app. Does it submit for me or just autofill? What does it cost after the free part? Will it rewrite my resume or send one copy everywhere? A page that answers those in the first two sentences saves you a lot of tab switching.

How each page is written

Every page follows the same layout.

  1. A short answer at the top, in a shaded box.
  2. The detail, with a table when two or more apps are being compared.
  3. A visible list of questions and answers.
  4. A related list and a way to sign up.

The same questions and answers sit in the page text and in its structured data, so a search engine or an AI assistant sees what you see.

How we keep the facts straight

Claims about Salvo come from one internal facts file. That file says what we can promise. It says Salvo finds jobs that fit your written rules, rewrites your resume for each job, applies for you and preps you for each interview. It says Salvo submits applications itself on Greenhouse, Workable and Ashby today, and that more job sites are being added.

Claims about another app come from that app's own pages, with the link and the date we looked. If a price or a feature isn't stated on their site, the page says so instead of guessing. Prices and features change, so every page shows an updated date, and you should check the other app's site before you buy.

We also say who the other app suits better. A bulk-apply extension that costs a flat yearly fee can be the right pick for someone who wants high volume on a few job sites. A page that only praised Salvo wouldn't help you decide.

What the first guide covers

The first guide is about tailoring your resume to each job posting. It gives a five-step way to do it by hand in about 15 minutes, lists what to leave alone, and shows where Salvo does the same work for you. You can follow it with no account at all.

How to use them

If you are choosing an app, start with the comparison pages. Each one has a table with price, free tier, who submits the application, resume tailoring, supported job sites, interview prep and where the product runs. Look at the row that matters to you first. If one app submits for you and another only fills in the form while you click send, that single row can decide the choice.

If you are still working on your search, start with the guides. They are short and practical. The resume guide, for example, works with any app or with none.

If you want to know what is new, the blog is the place. Every shipped feature gets its own posts, and each post says what changed, who it helps, and how to turn it on.

Whatever you pick, check the date at the top of the page. We refresh pages when a price or a feature changes, and we would sooner show an old date than hide one.

Each page also links to the pages around it. A comparison points to the guide that explains the idea behind a row in its table, and a guide points back to the apps that do the work for you. That way you can go as deep as you want without a search.

What is coming

Over the next weeks we'll add comparison pages for more apps, best-of lists, and short how-to posts for each new Salvo feature. Each feature gets an announcement, a how-to, a comparison, a use case and a changelog entry, so you can find the answer in whichever form suits you.

If you want live counts instead of marketing copy, the public stats page at sendsalvo.com/api/public/home-stats lists interview requests, jobs in inventory and platforms. As of 2026-10-05 it shows 200 interview requests, 233,244 jobs and 11 platforms. We don't publish application counts.
