Comparison
Salvo vs Huntr
Huntr is a job tracker with autofill where you click submit yourself, while Salvo is a free-to-start AI app that applies to jobs for you. If you want control over each application, Huntr fits; if you want them sent for you, Salvo fits, and many people use both.
The short version
Huntr and Salvo both help with a job search, and they split the work in different places. Huntr tracks your jobs and contacts, tailors resumes, and autofills application forms. You open each form, check the fields, and click submit.
Salvo does the submitting. It finds jobs that fit your written rules, rewrites your resume for each job, applies for you, and preps you for each interview. A submission receipt is saved for every application.
So the question is how much of the clicking you want to keep. Autofill cuts the typing but leaves the clicking with you. Salvo takes both. Go through how Salvo applies, or start free if you'd like to see it work.

Side by side
The Huntr column comes only from its pricing page and home page. Where those pages say nothing, the table says "not stated on their site".
| Factor | Huntr | Salvo |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Pro is $40 per month, or $30 per month billed $90 every 3 months, or $26.66 per month billed $160 every 6 months | Free to start. After your first 2 interview requests, Turbo is $14 weekly, $39 monthly, $89 every 3 months or $299 yearly |
| Free tier | A $0 plan with unlimited base resumes, 2 job-tailored resumes, 2 application packets, tracking up to 100 jobs, autofill and the Chrome clipper. No free trial is stated on their site | Free to start, no card, and your first 2 interview requests are free. Turbo has 7 days free to try, with a card required for the trial |
| Who submits | You do. Huntr autofills common fields on 1000s of sites and you click submit | Salvo submits the application itself, then saves a receipt |
| Resume tailoring | Yes. AI tailors to the job description with keyword matching and a score. Free has 2 tailored resumes; Pro is unlimited | Yes. Salvo rewrites your resume for each job |
| Supported job sites | Not stated on their site beyond "1000s of websites" | Submits itself on Greenhouse, Workable and Ashby today; more are being added |
| Interview prep | An interview tracker; no practice or question features shown | Yes. Salvo preps you for each interview, and live interview help exists through Cue and Listen |
| Where it runs | Chrome extension and web app. A mobile app is mentioned but not detailed | Runs in Salvo's own app and servers; you set rules and Salvo does the applying |
What Huntr does well
Huntr gives a lot away on its free plan. Autofill and the Chrome clipper are included at $0, which many trackers hold back. You also get unlimited base resumes and room to track up to 100 jobs.
Other strengths from its site:
- A tracker with contacts and a map view.
- AI resume tailoring with keyword matching and a score.
- On Pro, unlimited AI cover letters and resume feedback.
- A 4.9 rating on the extension store, as its site shows it.
It's a good home for a search you run by hand. You keep every application in view, and nothing goes out without your click. Some people want exactly that, especially for a short list of jobs they care about.
What Salvo does differently
Autofill still leaves you at the form. Salvo goes past it and submits the application itself, so the forms you'd have filled and sent are done for you.
You write the rules: titles, pay, places, and what you won't take. Salvo checks jobs against them, rewrites your resume for each job, and applies. After each send there's a receipt, so you can see what went out and when.
Each user gets their own Salvo applicant email, and Salvo says it does not sell your data. The security page has the details.
One honest limit. Salvo submits itself on Greenhouse, Workable and Ashby today. More job sites are being added, and we won't claim any before they work. If your target jobs sit elsewhere, Huntr's autofill on 1000s of sites reaches further for now, though you do the submitting.
On interview prep, Salvo preps you for each interview. Huntr shows an interview tracker, with no practice or question features on its site.
On 2026-10-05 Salvo's public stats page showed 200 interview requests logged, 233,244 jobs in inventory and 11 platforms. The source is the home stats API. Salvo publishes no application counts, so we're giving none.
Cost, plainly
Huntr's free plan is a full plan you can use for as long as you like. The two job-tailored resumes and two application packets are its limit, and Pro at $40 a month or less lifts it.
Salvo is free to start with no card, and your first 2 interview requests are free. After that, Turbo keeps replies unlocked at $14 weekly, $39 monthly, $89 every 3 months or $299 yearly. You get 7 days free to try, a card is required for the trial, and you cancel in one click. See the Turbo page.
The two charge for different things. Huntr's Pro pays for unlimited tailoring and packets. Salvo's Turbo pays for keeping replies open once interviews come in. Someone who never gets an interview request pays Salvo nothing.
Using both
A tracker and an auto-apply app don't compete for the same hour of your week. Huntr can hold your contacts, notes and the jobs you chase yourself. Salvo can send the larger batch of applications in the background. Plenty of people run both, and neither blocks the other.
For other pairings, the alternatives index has more comparisons.
